Greetings fancy readers. Thanks for being here.
(Note from the Author: I now have an internet connection at home. That means posting will be much easier. That means I will be posting six days a week now. Monday through Friday I’ll post Philip the Bard’s musings from planet Harappa and Saturday I post my thoughts about the latest news in science.)
Hello readers. Ina Normer here. My husband Philip had too much fun at the Winterfest Football Final. I hear occasional grumbling from the bedroom but I don’t expect to see The Man up and about for hours. I told him last night I’d post for him. I wonder if her remembers that?
The twin moons Rama and Sita are rising this morning and the sun is well up and shinning through a nearly cloudless sky. The aurora is fairly active and green streaks are accenting the purple sky. I’m enjoying a cup of fellker tea. This afternoon I’m going to visit my sister Lila in Mandan. It is going to be my first chance to see the new grand-baby, Maxine.
I understand that my husband Philip likes to tell you all about the grand stories of our day. He is quite fascinated with the Death Watch for planet Harappa. Me, I’m more interested in day to day living. Life is more about our human interactions and contacts than it is about the motions of worlds and galaxies.
When we made first contact we were only slightly surprised to find that other advanced species had abandoned many technologies as being harmful to interpersonal relations. Many people in the SID had technology implants. It was a popular thing in their circles. Didn’t work out so well for them did it?
I don’t know any Kushans with implants beyond a few artificial joints.
Harappans and now Kushans have always eschewed technology, preferring things we can produce in our own yards and homes. We drink wines that was produced by someone we probably know. We eat food we’ve grown in our own garden or hunted ourselves. We smoke only blends that grew in our garden. We are very connected to our food. I know where everything on my dinner table came from. Most Earthers can not say this. Things are changing there but they still have a way to go.
Have a great day. Try to connect with someone you love but haven't spoken to in a long time.
Never mix red wine and Oodo.
