Philip the Bard's Harappan Blog: Space Tourism

Welcome warm readers. Thanks for being here.

Last week we discussed some of the tourist attractions found on the advanced worlds. This week, let’s explore some of the more primitive places in the galaxy.

There is the second galactic law that prohibits advanced cultures from making contact with cultures that have not yet developed the skill to leave their planetary system. However, people do go to observe. I suppose it is not exactly tourism if you are going to make observations and notes on culture but I think some scientists go just to watch,

There are hundreds of planets with intelligent beings who have not yet learned space travel. Many of them never will for one reason or another. There was Kerrant, a planet visited by Max Gavaskar when she was chasing the Tarsan rebels. There were scientifically advanced but their star system was so full of debris and gas that they could not see beyond the orbits of their near planets. They are now making some progress towards expanding their vision of the universe, most likely due to Max’s visit and her contact there with an elderly scientist.

Observers are watching this world very closely and believe they are the likeliest candidates to be the next species to join the Family of the Galaxy.

Over the next few days we’ll discuss some of the other interesting worlds with developing cultures.
