Welcome fantastic readers. Thanks for being here.
Last week we discussed the Gavaskar Center for Peace in Estonia on Earth. The center was built on land formerly used for an oil refinery and a waste disposal site. Now it is one of the loveliest spots in the Milky Way.
A garden has been established there with plants from all around the galaxy. That in it self was one of the biggest challenges in creating the site.
Earth botanists were very concerned about bringing so many alien plant species to the Earth. There was a concern that one of them may turn out to be an invasive plant, one that could harm the Earth environment. It took several years to work out those issues.
Then came the problems for the design. The site was a blank slate, everything that was already there had to be removed. Submissions were received from all the intelligent species. Politics came to the front when choosing the design.
It wasn’t until the Mother of the Galaxy became involved that the issues were settled and construction began. I was not there but I recently read a transcript of Max’s speech. She chastised the crowd for their petty political BS and she made the choice.
She chose the design offered by the Lor. Some argued that she had made the choice based on their support of her and their gift of a personal spaceship. She was the Mother of the Galaxy after all and we all had given her the authority to choose however she wanted.
Turned out the Loric plan was a beautiful design and the garden is the number one tourist attraction in the Galaxy. Not that interplanetary tourism is a big thing but it does happen. This week we’ll discuss some of the top spots in the Milky Way.
