Philip the Bard's Harappan Blog: Part One of our visit with Dusty Waters

Greetings friendly readers. Thanks for being here.

This morning I had a visit with Dusty Waters, an old friend of Max Gavaskar. I went to the senior center and found Dusty in her room. She served gin cocktails.

Following is a transcript from this morning,

Philip Normer “Hi Dusty. How have you been.”

Dusty Waters “Oh you know, Phil. Aches and pains. The doctors claim they have nothing for me but you and I know better. Don’t we?”

PN “I wouldn’t know about that Dusty. Do you keep in touch with Max?”

DW “I call her when I can. It ain’t easy getting through her gate keepers isn’t it?’

PN “I suppose you are right. But, I get through with Dorian.”

DW “Little Max always did have a close connection to Dorian. I guess he became the mentor for her that I thought I was going to be.”

PN “When Max left Lava did you think you’d ever see her again?”

DW “I knew that we’d hear about her. I wasn’t sure that I’d ever see her again. I knew that she was headed for big things. I didn’t meet that Dorian fellow but when I heard that our little Maxi got off Lava with him I knew she’d be swept up into big things. All of us in Salmo that knew her, knew she was special.”

PN “Did you think she’d become known as the Mother?”

DW (laughing) “I never figured she’d get anchored with than monniker. I’ll bet you she hates being called that to this very day.”

PN “I’ve heard that about her.”

Tomorrow we’ll share Part two of my conversation with Dusty Waters.
