Notes from the Author: The Future of the Blog

Greetings friendly readers. Thanks for being here. Philip the Bard will return next week with more tales from planet Kusha.

I’ve been working hot and heavy getting Kusha ready for publication in less than two months. I just this week, made public the cover art for this book on my Facebook page. Seeing the cover makes the book all the more real for me. It also reminds me that I need to get all the typos fixed and the final edits polished.

At one point someone asked me if I would run out of material for my blog. I have been thinking about this story and this universe for over forty years. I have spent time pondering the ecology of several planets and what a future society would look like. Then I’ve thrown plot twists into the mix just to see what would happen.

If you going to read my stories you should know that I believe them to be there for me rather than a creation solely from my imagination. I make some plans ahead of time but the stories are revealed to me as I type them. Some times I am quite surprised at what happens. I know my people and I know them well. I know what they will do in a given situation but occasionally they surprise me.

The conclusion which will be revealed in “The Mother of the Galaxy” this summer is fixed in my mind. I don’t yet know all the details of the path from the end of “Kusha” to the end of Max Gavaskar’s story, but Max will have a dramatic and emotional ending, "trust me".

I’d tell you more but I don’t want to give away too much. After “Kusha” is released there will be a plot reveal that will open up a whole new category of blog information.

Between now and then we’ll meet with Max herself and Philip the Bard will share more details of daily life in the twenty-fifth century.
