When she finds her lab is destroyed, she is forced to go on the run and winds up on Lava, a pioneer planet that is tipped on it’s side. She becomes the owner of a saloon in a dusty back road town after the previous owner is killed by a stray bullet, from a gunfight in the street. Can Melanie, now known as Max, fit in with the locals, evade the government agents searching for her and prevent the SID from destroying the universe?
