Greetings miraculous readers. Thanks for being here.
Last week we were discussing my recent visit with Max Gavaskar. In that meeting I asked her what were the most interesting things she found in the EG or Encyclopedia Galactica. The two things she mentioned was the lack of robotics in some of the more advanced worlds and the universal nature of DNA.
I’ve spent some time looking through the EG, what human hasn’t at least poked around there? It is a deep and strange rabbit hole the EG is.
What I’ve found most interesting is some of the pre-emergent sentient species. The people on Kerrant Three for example. They are smart apes, less than a meter tall. Currently they are in a stone monument phase. They are building, what is for them, giant stone structures much like pre historic Earth but these monuments are for us very small. I haven’t read much about the Tax but I’d guess they built some grand things in their early building history. I’ll look into them and get back to you later in the week.
For the rest of this week we’ll look into some of the oddities found in the EG.
