Philip the Bard's Harappan Blog: Dusty Waters

Welcome gentle readers. We’ve been talking about Dusty Waters. I published an excerpt from her autobiography “I Need A Drink: We’ve all had quite a shock.” and I’ll publish another excerpt soon. Today we’ll talk some about her time on Earth.

I’ve already mentioned she was born in the Texas Territories in the Americas. Her book doesn’t mention much about this time in her life. It is known that she worked as a waitress, a farmworker and eventually had a job with a cobbler.

She has been evasive about where the money came from to buy the Salmo Hotel. She as at various times claimed she received an inheritance, a gift from a secret admirer, won a big bet and has even claimed she just saved her tips. I assume we’ll never know the real answer to this question.

What is known is that she left Earth at her first opportunity. Most people who left Earth for Lava did so because they had a serious reason to leave Earth. Dusty has never offered any reason for leaving a beautiful blue green world for crappy planet Lava beyond saying she saw opportunity there.
